Jordan Court & The Ashburton Boys.
The band first formed in 1970 in Putney, London.
The band went through various transformations and was known as Tutankhamun, Johnson Ellis & Chambers (JEC) and Snail. The band split in 1973.
Some 41 years later in May 2014 the band got back together again (initially for one jam) and is still going strong today.
Maurice Chambers: Vocals. Bob Chambers: Bass. Both brothers from Jordan Court and Brian Ellis: Drums. Terry McCartney: Guitar. Both from The Ashburton Estate, hence the name of the band!
The band released their first single "Pseudo Queen" 17th June 2017. This song was penned back in 1971 and was a favourite of the band's followers.
The band performed their comeback gig on November 12th 2017 at The Fighting Cocks, Kingston.
This year on 10th May 2024 it’ll be ten years since they got the band back together, and in that time they made a record, played their come back gig and The Chambers Brothers made a documentary about it all.
To celebrate their tenth anniversary The Chambers Brothers have uploaded ‘Reunion’ - a full length music documentary about Jordan Court and The Ashburton Boys to YouTube (see video below).
